- After the formal business of the AGM was completed, the newly re-elected Chairman, Mike Nichol, announced the forthcoming season of lectures starting on 16th September 2019. Full details are shown on this website.
- There will also be ‘Yet Another Lunch‘ for members at the Racecourse on 31st October featuring a guest speaker, Derek Paulson on the subject of Dialects.
- A highlight of the new season will be The Aidan Woodcock Memorial Lecture dedicated to the memory of the founding chairman of the Society. Aidan was a musician with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and this talk will be given most appropriately by the current Chief Executive of the RLPO, Michael Eakin.
Members will receive their new membership cards and full details of next season at the beginning of August. Annual subscriptions are due on the 1st September, though payment may be made at the first lecture on the 16th September. We look forward to seeing you there.
