Afon Dyfrdwy to River Dee, Source to Sea. – 21 November 2022 *

Jim Holmes’s lectures are generated from thirty years of working and travelling  around the world. He has carried out projects for the United Nations and international charities, including Oxfam and Save the Children.

These have taken him to some fifty countries, including Afghanistan, Mongolia, Indonesia, Laos and, Myanmar.  He is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and uses his wide experience to lecture on such topics as clean water, rural health services, clearance of unexploded ordnance, refugee issues and natural disasters. In this lecture he uses his considerable expertise in photography to take us along the length of our local river from its source in the Snowdonia National Park as Afon Dyfydwy to its arrival at the sea as the river Dee.
